Ahead of its Wednesday showcase of upcoming game releases for its PlayStation console, Sony joined Microsoft, Ubisoft, CD Projekt Red and other major players in the video game industry in cutting off the Russian market in response to its invasion of Ukraine. Sony has suspended PlayStation Store operations, the launch of “Gran Turismo 7″ and all shipments of PlayStation software and hardware in Russia.
The company also pledged $2 million to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and Save the Children, writing in a company statement that it “joins the global community in calling for peace in Ukraine.”
